Francia Guzmán

Chief Human Resources Strategist

 Francia Guzmán is Inclusent’s Chief Human Resources Strategist.  She is an experienced Human Resources executive with a trajectory of developing and implementing strategic solutions that result in positive contributions for the business. She has a strong diversity and inclusion background in addition to broader business and Human Resources experience.  Her corporate experience adds 36 years and has included business and human resources roles. These have been global, regional and local in scope. Her global corporate positions were as a senior executive dealing with CEOs and senior management.  She is also the co-founder of Strategic Human Capital Consortium, an association of human resources consultants that come together for more complex assignments.

 

Her last corporate role was Head of global diversity, inclusion, engagement and culture for Visa Inc., contributing to bringing the organization together after a global merge and an IPO. She had previously executed as regional head of HR for the Latin American region and head of global talent management. Before joining Visa she had a wide array of roles at Citigroup, including Talent Management for Latin America and roles in leadership in business areas. Her business roles dealt with clients (managing financial institutions, insurance and remittance companies as well as public sector relationships) as well as designing and managing financial products (cash management and commodities). She also has public relations and treasury experience.

 

She has supported organizations to start, assess, design particular programs, train leadership and broader management team relative to their diversity and inclusion practice. She has put together provided inclusive leader coaching to multiple senior staff, shared best practices and counseled companies on dealing with particular diversity and inclusion issues. 

 

She has experience as member of boards and organizations, speaker and writer. She was recognized in 2011 as a Distinguished Woman by the National Diversity Council and interviewed for the publication Diversity Woman that same year. She is co-author (next to Nilda Chong) of Latino Culture: A Dynamic Force in the American Workplace (Intercultural Press, 2005) and “Coaching Across Cultures”, an article published by the World Wide Association of Business Coaches. She is currently part of the Board of Advisors for the Masters in Human Resources of Florida International University and runs a Mastermind for Women for The Commonwealth Institute.

 

Francia, originally from the Dominican Republic, has an undergraduate degree in Sociology UNPHU in the Dominican Republic) and graduate studies in Urban and Regional Development (El Colegio de México).  She has a Certificate in Human Resources (University of Miami), is certified in Business Coaching (Worldwide Association of Business Coaches) and in Assessment Interviewing (Spherion).
